RNVR Yacht Club Membership
Membership may be granted on
one of two Lists of Membership on the following basis:
Members List 1
(i)
Serving, retired or former members of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve
and the other Reserves of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines, Commonwealth and
Dominion Navies and former members of the RNVSR
(ii) Serving,
retired or former members of the Royal Navy and the Royal Marines and Commonwealth
and Dominion Navies.
Members List 2
If
formally proposed by one and seconded by two List 1 members, Officers of the
Club or elected members of the Committee
who know the candidate, membership List 2 may be granted at the discretion of
the Committee to British or Commonwealth citizens in the following groups:
(i) Members' spouses and their sons and daughters over the age of 18 years
(ii) Serving or ex-cadets, over the age of 18 years, of HMS Conway, Pangbourne College or any similar institution recognised by the Committee.
(iii)
Members of the Naval Club or any other persons not otherwise eligible
for membership and whom the Committee consider suitable and likely to advance
the objects of the Club and who have or have had a Naval or yachting connection
The number of
List 2 members is restricted by rule to no more than 30% of the total membership.
Vacancies for List 2 membership are subject to a waiting list.
Therefore, members are strongly advised to discuss the availability of
such vacancies with the Membership Secretary before offering to propose List
2 candidates for membership.
Members' subscriptions
are due on 1 January each year and are currently £25 per annum
NEW MEMBERS will
also be charged a joining fee of £25.00.
The joining fee is waived for RNR Officers under the age of 26.
